"Karate as an amateur sport in this country does not enjoy widespread coverage, therefore getting media attention for our World Championships event was always going to be a great challenge. Handing that to professionals like Cardinal Spin was a great call and its talented team took up that challenge. With little lead time they produced professional results and our international event enjoyed the spotlight. We would highly recommend their services."Terry Choi - Championships Manager and President of Shotokan Karate International Australia Inc
11TH SHOTOKAN KARATE-DO INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
When the Shotokan Karate–do International Federation (SKIF) came to Sydney for the World Championships (Nov 19-24, 2012), Destination NSW brought Cardinal Spin on board to take charge of a brief, yet intensive communications campaign.
* Cardinal Spin ran a strongly-attended media call, followed by extensive media coverage, taking the World Championships and karate en masse to Sydney and the rest of Australia.
* Cardinal Spin produced key media assets including the creation of high-quality film and stills of the event to run across all channels (see video on right) of Kancho Hirokazu Kanazawa; his son Nobuaki Kanazaw; and Australian team captain Brandt Cogill demonstrating Karate moves under the Harbour Bridge.
* Other coverage highlights included major news pieces in the Sydney Morning Herald, Daily Telegraph and Australian Associated Press (AAP), and a Sunrise cross reaching over 400,000 people.
