Australian Open of Surfing

"The team at Cardinal Spin delivered excellent publicity results for the inaugural 2012 Australian Open of Surfing at Manly Beach. The event received significant positive publicity prior, during and post the event in major national and local media across sports, lifestyle and news media, as well as surfing and skate media. It must also be noted, that the Cardinal Spin team worked incredibly hard to ensure the large number of international and local media who came to cover the event were well briefed and managed throughout the nine days. This was a significant event for Sydney and Cardinal Spin played a crucial role as part of the team who ensured its success."

Anna McInerney - Event Development Manager Arts, Entertainment & Design - Destination NSW

In February 2012, More than 170,000 tourists and Sydneysiders converged on Manly beach to experience the Australian Open of Surfing, which attracted some of the biggest names in surf (Joel Parkinson, Taj Burrow, Jordy Smith), skate (Bob Burnquist, Renton Millar, Curran Caples, Bucky Lasek) and music (The Living End, Sneaky Sound System, Children Collide, Stonefield & Bluejuice).
