Endless Summer Community Festival

Endless Summer Community Festival

Endless Summer Community Festival is a three-day festival, founded by Southside Events and Old Library Restaurant & Bar owner Mario Kalpou, that ran from 27-29 December 2013.

Kalpou created the event in conjunction with Sutherland Shire Council to showcase all that Cronulla has to offer, embodying the relaxed beachside vibe that the suburb is renowned for.

Located in beautiful Gunnamatta Park, Cronulla – the free community festival included live music (Bluejuice, The Preatures, Amy Meredith, Asta and more); a range of food and beverage offerings; bars from Asahi and Lisa McGuigan; pop up retail stores; as well as kids entertainment and free activities.

With a five-year deal in place, and following the huge success of the inaugural event, the Endless Summer Community Festival will once again fill the void between Christmas and New Year in 2014.

Campaign Highlights

* Crowd attendance far exceeded organisers’ expectations with over 50,000 people attending across the three-day festival.

* Cardinal Spin managed all announcements, organiser/artist interviews, media accreditation and event media management for the 2013 festival.

* Cardinal Spin secured over 65 media placements across print and digital broadcast mediums with feature highlights including Sydney Morning Herald, Daily Telegraph, Sun-Herald, Network Ten’s The Project, Time Out Sydney, Broadsheet and Concrete Playground.
