SYDNEY GAY & LESBIAN MARDI GRAS
The Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras (SGLMG) is a non-for-profit member-based organisation that organises the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade and Festival as well as number of other events throughout the year.
Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras exists primarily to develop the SGLMG for the benefit of Sydney’s LGBTQI community, the enjoyment of a wider audience and as a global beacon of diversity, acceptance and LGBTQI rights. The organisations aims to raise the visibility of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex communities.
* In late 2013, Cardinal Spin was appointed the official communications agency for the 2014 Mardi Gras, tasked with a mission to increase the Festival’s exposure both nationally and internationally, and minimise negative publicity around Mardi Gras’ range of community events.
* Thus far, Cardinal Spin has managed to secure the Festival hundreds of media placements across print, broadcast and digital press, with notable stories running in the Daily Telegraph, The Australian, Sydney Morning Herald, Sun Herald, The Age and on Channel Nine.
* Cardinal Spin has also successfully targeted Mardi Gras’ core LGBTQI demographic, securing extensive media coverage in leading LGBTQI print and online publications including SSO, SX and Same Same, among others.
